MARE NOSTRUM?

The Mediterranean Sea: everyone's sea?

The drowned deaths are not marginal damage; it is a massacre. Nobody feels absolved.

The debate on immigration and deaths at sea is disarmingly topical. Strongly polarized and politicized it seems unsolvable. Public opinion is shaken every day by the terrible images.

My work is a free interpretation of the sense of terror, of abandonment, of loneliness, of being in the middle of the deep, green, dark, endless Mare Nostrum. The only spectator is the BLACK sun.
