ALIVE VS DEAD

Naples-Spanish quarters. One evening of pouring rain I photographed the beautiful murals known all over the world and the faces of people as they went about their daily activities. The diptychs made represent the close relationship between living and dead, the earthly and otherworldly bond that has very ancient origins, and is very present in Naples in every form and in every street corner, up to the famous Fontanelle Cemetery.
